The Old Steading on the Isle of Tiree is believed to have been built around 1840 as a general farm building. In 1998 we undertook a full ecological renovation of the ruined building transforming the roofless granite shell into a cosy and welcoming family home.
The Old Steading, which offers comfortable, stylish and modern
accommodation, is ideally situated in a quiet location within easy
reach
of spectacular beaches and stunning coastlines. There are extensive
views over the wide spread of Gott Bay and the house is within easy
walking distance of Scarinish, the main township, and
the ferry pier.
Tiree is one of the sunniest places in the UK and it has a mild and balmy climate. It’s an ideal location for all sorts of outdoor activities
and there is an abundancce of birdlife, wildlife and sealife to be seen
and enjoyed.
